SELECT PROJECTS AND LOCAL INITIATIVES
Bridges Development Consortium has undertaken several initiatives at the local level that provide services in niche areas where the Consortium feels it can make a difference.
One such effort is the Bridges Center for Child Development and Education that has recently been set up in Lahore, Pakistan. The Center aims to promote early childhood education and analyze differences in cross-cultural learning patterns. The center constitutes a fully functional preschool and a training facility for ECE educators.
With its every child counts campaign, Bridges intends to raise public awareness and interest in the issues surrounding Lahore’s street children.
More recently the Consortium has successfully reached out to assist the earthquake victims of Northern Pakistan.
Currently, the Consortium is providing consulting services for monitoring and evaluation of the Rebuilding Agricultural Markets in Afghanistan Program (RAMP).
